School Council 2025 – 2026

Welcome to our new school council!

2026

So far we have been busy making wish lists from our classes to find out what toys and games our peers would really like to have during Golden Time. Our Golden Time is a special reward for our excellent behaviour every Friday afternoon and we hope with some new and exciting toys, we will be really motivated to show ourselves at our very best.

Just before the Easter half term, school council set a reading challenge to the school. Our challenge was to take a photo reading a book in different environments. We chose the greenest place, the strangest place, the funniest place and the cosiest place. We had some brilliant photos to chose from and enjoyed picking our winners.

December 24 – We have been incredibly busy this term at School Council HQ.
So far we have created a questionnaire to gather children’s opinions on the new inquiry curriculum asking questions about what our friends have enjoyed about it and what they would like to see added to it. We have also been creating ‘Wish-lists’ for each class, identifying what resources they would like to enhance their learning.
We are currently working on a Top secret project that we will be launching and sharing with you all very soon – Watch this space….

October 24 – Introducing our School Council for 2024/25. We are very proud and excited to get started!

November 23 – Feb 24 – We are currently undertaking a reading survey across the school to discover everybody’s reading habits. Once we have done this we will be making recommendations to each class on ways than can improve their reading.

October 23 – At our first meeting we set out our priorities for the year. FOLs were keen were keen to understand what each class needed to improve their settings, so we set an ongoing task of asking our friends what they would like them to buy for each class to help with their learning and for Golden Time.
