How to Apply for our Vacancies

  • Please complete the appropriate application form in full (either Teacher or Support Staff Application Form), ensuring you include any gaps in employment and the reasons for any gaps
  • You will be required to prepare a covering letter highlighting your reasons for applying, your skills and experience to date and the contribution you believe you can make to our school
  • Please note we do not accept CVs as part of the selection process
  • Forward your application form and covering letter by email to office@lympshamcofeacademy.co.uk or post for the for the attention of the HR Department. If posting, please remember to use the correct postage (large letter size)

Safer Recruitment

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. Your suitability to work with children and young people will form part of the selection process. Prior to appointment the Human Resources Department will apply for:

  • A satisfactory enhanced Disclosure and Barring check
  • Documentary evidence of your identity and right to work in the UK
  • A Children’s Barred list check
  • Two satisfactory references
  • Satisfactory pre-employment health screening
  • A Prohibition Check for teachers in relation to the children’s workforce
  • Evidence of all relevant qualifications to perform in the role and QTS status or equivalent will also be required for Teaching Staff
  • In some settings a declaration will be required in order to meet our obligations under the Childcare Act 2006
  • As well as the above checks, candidates who are offered a post working in our school will be expected to attend necessary Safeguarding and Prevent training on commencement of employment with regular ongoing updates as necessary
