Pupil Premium and PE and Sport Premium
Pupil Premium
Pupil premium is allocated to our school based on the number of:
- Pupils who are recorded as eligible for free school meals (FSM), or have been recorded as eligible in the past 6 years (referred to as Ever 6 FSM)
- Children previously ‘looked-after’ by a Local Authority or state care, including children adopted from state care or equivalent from outside of England and Wales
- To support other pupils with identified needs, such as those who have or have had a social worker, or who act as a carer
- For whole class interventions which will also benefit non-disadvantaged pupils
Schools may also receive ‘Service pupil premium’, which is additional funding for pupils who have parents serving in the armed forces. This funding is primarily to enable schools to offer pastoral support and help mitigate the negative impact of family mobility or parental deployment. It can also be used to help improve the academic process of eligible pupils if the school deems this a priority.
Our school is required to report annually regarding the funding we receive. Please see details below:
PE and Sports Premium
The Government provides additional funding to schools with primary school aged pupils.
The funding is intended to be used to promote physical activity in primary aged pupils where the foundations of positive and enjoyable participation in regular exercise are embedded.
All children should have equal access to high quality PE provision and opportunities to experience and participate in a wide range of sports and physical activities, no matter what their economic or social background.
Our school is required to report annually regarding how we spend our Sports Premium. Please see details below:
